Connect-a-Sketch is a free application where users can upload their sketches drawn on a simple piece of paper and then turn them into an interactive online prototype. This application makes it easy to bring sketched designs to life through simple dragging and dropping commands. Connect-a-Sketch makes it easy to test ideas and share concepts with others.

Connect-a-Sketch allows both .JPG and .PNG files to be uploaded. This tool makes it easy to develop new webpages, applications and it saves users time since they don't have to recreate their design from the original thought that they expressed on paper. Users can sign up for a free account and they can share their designs with others by inviting others to view the prototype.

The application is very simple and straightforward. It is easy to use. The main issue with this application is that it appears to no longer be maintained. Some bugs have not been addressed on their feedback page which leads one to believe that the application is just on auto-pilot mode.

Registering for Connect-a-Sketch is very quick and simple. Users just need to provide a username, email address and a password. From there users can create new prototypes, connect them to make them interactive and upload sketches as a base.

Connect-a-Sketch is a free application to use. Since it isn't actively maintained, it is doubtful that the site will begin charging for using its services.

Connect-a-Sketch is useful for those who are designing applications or websites and want an easy and free way to turn an uploaded sketch into a working prototype. There seem to be better and more functional applications that do this that designers could use, however the application is free so perhaps some may find value in it.
